Metal Clay Veneer

The veneer solution is a new product that was invented by Jay Humphreys and launched at the 2004 PMC conference. The veneer solution may be mixed with the various types of metal clay, then applied to a textured substrate. The resulting dried sheet is not changed so far as silver or gold content or in the firing characteristics. This new form of metal clay may be combined with other metal clay items and fired in conjunction with them.

Mold Builder

Now you can duplicate figurines, sculptures and other items with safe, brushable latex rubber. Mold Builder will not stick to metal, clay, ceramics, plaster, wood or plasticene clay. Mold Builder molds are durable, reusable, and economical to make. The molds you make from Mold Builder can be used to make secondry molds of lifecastings, cast paper, plaster, candle wax, craft soap and casting resins.

Pink House

This US based company specialise in life molds. They sell two products that may be useful to metal clay artists. Reducit is a positive casting material which will shrink uniformly, resulting in scale replicas from most molds. In a single stage of reduction, a Reducit cast will shrink to approximately half of its original volume, or 2/3 its original size in linear dimensions. Expandid allows you to increase the size of your original without distortion and with controlled expansion. The Pink House website contains complete instructions on how to use these products.
